You have to submit the acknowledgement letter duly signed in the branch while collecting the password from the base branch.

If you try getting yourself registered online, then the customer id you got will work as your user id and the password may be set during the process of registration.

Using debit card credentials to register online, customers can use a retail internet banking facility. The steps to be followed are as follow:

  • Open the official website of PNB. (
  • The home page will be opened and you will see a link saying “register here”. Click on that link.
  • Enter the account number and choose your registration type.
  • Select the type of facility – view only or view and transaction both.
  • Then click on the verify button.
  • On registered mobile number OTP will be received, enter that OTP in “one-time password” field.
  • Once OTP is verified, enter your account details /ATM credentials.
  • You will be able to set the password once you entered details get successfully validated.

With regard to your registration process, you will receive a message if the procedure completes successfully.

Once all the above-mentioned process gets completed you will become an enabled user immediately.

  • Go to the official website (
  • Choose retail user option and then you will see the login screen. Now you have to put your ID and press continue.
  • There will be an option placed at the bottom “forgot password”, click on that button.
  • The moment next screen appears to enter your user ID and then again click on the submit button.
  • You will get an OTP on your registered number. You have to put that OTP.
  • Enter the debit card number, linked account number and ATM PIN and after that click on continue button.
  • Set login or / transaction passwords.

  • Select ‘manage beneficiary’ option.
  • Add another PNB account click on ‘add within PNB Payee’.
  • For making NEFT/RTGS/IMPS transaction click on ‘add other bank payees’
  • To add another PNB credit card select ‘add other PNB Credit card payee’.
  • Modify the limit of existing payee select ‘view  / modify beneficiary details /limits’.
  • To confirm the beneficiary click on ‘confirm new/modified beneficiary’.

The process to transfer fund to own accounts:

  • First, click on ‘transactions’ and then choose ‘own accounts’.
  • From dropdown select account numbers to be debited and credited.
  • State the amount.
  • Then click on the ‘continue’ button.
  • After this, you need to fill your transaction password and click on ‘submit’ button.

The process to transfer your fund to the other accounts within PNB:

  • First, choose the ‘transaction’ option then click on ‘within PNB’.
  • Select account numbers from the dropdown that is to be debited and credited. (Perform add beneficiary if the account to be credited is not shown in the dropdown)
  • Enter the amount.
  • By default, the current date will be your transaction date. Date can be chosen from the calendar for scheduling transaction for a future date.
  • Recurring transactions– Frequency can be set to daily / weekly/ monthly /quarterly/ half-yearly/ yearly if a transaction has to be done repeatedly with the same amount and beneficiary.  The number of installments has to be entered.
  • Then click on the ‘continue’ button.
  • Fill the password of the transaction and click on ‘submit’.

NEFT/ RTGS/IMPS through IFSC Code Transactions

  • Click on ‘transactions’ and then choose the suitable option from ‘NEFT/RTGS/IMPS’.
  • From drop-down select account numbers to be debited or credited. ( If the account to be credited is not shown in drop down, perform add beneficiary)
  • Fill the amount section.
  • The current date will be set as transaction date by default. Date can be selected from the calendar to schedule transaction for a future date.
  • Frequency can be set to daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/ yearly if a transaction has to be done repeatedly with the same amount and same beneficiary.
  • Click on ‘continue’ button.
  • Fill the password of the transaction and click on the ‘submit’ button.

Points to keep in mind as a safety measure:

  • Password should not be revealed over any means of communication like phone, mail etc. To any individual.
  • Password can be changed frequently as per your wish. The expiry period for your password will be shown on your home page after you get a login. It is advised to change your password when you get a systematic prompt or before the expiry of the password.
  • You should not click on website links/ attachments in unknown/ suspicious emails. These links usually take the user to a fake website of the bank and ask for keying in your user id and password.
  • Emails like requesting login id and password or other sensitive information are never sent by any bank.
